Classically speaking. A Houser Ramírez hybrid classical.

In late summer I began a comission of a classical guitar. This instrument is built on a Hauser senior body but with a 640mm scale, not 650. When I began this I received a 70s Ramirez classical to repair. It sounded so nice I incorporated the bracing pattern and special no contact spots in the design of this guitar. It is in the final stages of French polish curing and I will attach the bridge soon to hear its voice.

This guitar has a western red cedar soundboard, rosewood back and sides, spruce soundboard bracing, mahogany back bracing, Spanish cedar neck, Amazon rosewood fingerboard, rosewood binding, Amazon rosewood bridge, snakewood head plate, cocobolo backplate, rosewood binding with maple purfling. The rosette is a book-matched maple burl harvested in upstate New York.
